At HO SOCCER we are very lucky to collaborate with many international soccer goalkeepers, unconditional fans of our brand. Next week in Spain and other parts of the world we celebrate Father's Day and for this reason we wanted to share with you the brief interviews we had with keeper dads asking them to answer questions regarding their matches, our gloves and how they combine their paternity with the game of soccer.

We want to thank each of them for their time and dedication and we hope to continue to provide them with high quality goalkeeper gloves in a variety of models and ranges so they can continue to defend their nets.

RAÚL FERNÁNDEZ INTERVIEW

1.  How did you start to get involved in football and more specifically in the goalkeeper position?

I started playing soccer in my neighborhood. I'm a goalkeeper because of my brother. He is 6 years older than me and if I wanted to play with the older boys I had to be the goalkeeper.

 

2. What qualities do you think are the most important for a goalkeeper?

The most important qualities I think should be coordination and agility.

 

3.  How would you define yourself as a goalkeeper?

I'm a big goalie and I try to make what is difficult seam easy.

 

4. What do you think is the most difficult aspect for a goalkeeper?

Staying concentrated for the duration of the 90min match without getting distracted.

 

5. How are you enjoying fatherhood and combining being a dad with football?

I´m adjusting very well, my baby girl brings me a lot of joy. It is very important to have a stable life outside of football.

 

6. What stands out for you in your HO SOCCER gloves?

 The HO SOCCER gloves are gloves that continue to evolve and have the experience of many years of work.

 

MANOLO REINA INTERVIEW

1.  How did you start to get involved in football and more specifically in the goalkeeper position?

Well, I started as a little kid, I was always struck by the goalkeeper net and it was what I was good at and kept improving and little by little and I began to feel more passionate about it.

 

2. What qualities do you think are the most important for a goalkeeper?

Today´s goalkeeper has to be very complete, but the most important aspects are foot work nowadays is more and more in demand and the aerial game.

3.  How would you define yourself as a goalkeeper?

I consider myself a fairly complete goalkeeper but above all very hardworking and good teammate.

 

4. What do you think is the most difficult aspect for a goalkeeper?

 There are several difficult things for a goalkeeper but the worst thing is that we always have to be at our 100% with each move because any mistake can be a goal and can change the outcome of the match.

 

5. How are you enjoying fatherhood and combining being a dad with football?

I combine it very well I have 2 daughters and a small baby and the girls are older and enjoy the game just like me.

 

6. What stands out for you in your HO SOCCER gloves? 

When talking about HO SOCCER gloves I would especially emphasized the security that they give you, I have tried other brands and this is the one that best fits me and gives me more security.
