While it is important to choose the type of material, cut, durability and needed grip, choosing the right size is fundamental for a good adaptability to our movements and type of game.

HOW TO KNOW THE SIZE OF GOALKEEPER GLOVES

The size of goalkeeper gloves for adults ranges from 7 to 11, while the size of goalkeeper gloves for children is from 2 to 7.

Glove size is calculated taking into account the distance in centimeters from the base of the hand to the tip of the middle finger. This measurement corresponds to the size of the glove, however the cut and material of the back of the glove will influence the feeling of the glove being more or less tight to the hand.

Once we have our measurements, we can go to the size guide (it will appear next to the purchase button of each product) and compare the measurement of our palm with the measurements of the different ranges and cuts.

Taking into account the size of your hand as well as the cut that best suits you is the best way to know which gloves are the most suitable for you.

WHAT SHOULD WE TAKE INTO ACCOUNT WHEN BUYING OUR GOALKEEPER GLOVES?

Now that we know how to find out our goalkeeper gloves size, it is important to keep in mind that it is not the only information to take into account before deciding on making a purchase.

As a general rule, football gloves do not have to be absolutely snug on the hand, they should maintain a minimum distance from the skin so that they are slightly loose. The reason for this is that this increases the contact surface of the hand with the ball and thus ensures a better grip which increases the chances of successfully grabbing the ball.

It should be taken into account that gloves with a Flat or Negative cut are usually tighter than gloves with a Roll Finger cut.  As an example: If our palm has a measurement of 18cm from the base of the wrist to the longest finger and we are looking for a model with a negative cut, according to the table we see that our size is 9 for example. However, if we are looking for a glove with a Roll Finger cut, the table indicates that for this type of model and cut, our ideal size is 8.5.
